Scarce Colt New Service Revolver .38 Spl 4" Barrel 1932

Serial #334477, .38 Special, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1932-made revolver, fitted with a factory knurled trigger, that has retained about 92-95% of the original blue with a single area of freckled gray metal on the cylinder from poor storage. Likewise, there is mottled plum-brown freckling on the left side of the hammer and spur as well, with a smaller area at the tip of the spur on the right side. Some further silvering is present on the bearing surfaces of the crane, and at the muzzle. The checkered walnut, Colt medallion grips are numbered to the gun on the interior, and are in excellent shape with almost no flattening of the points, and few noticeable handling marks. The lock-up is tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a fine-near excellent example of a .38 New Service, with a shorter than average barrel, and exhibits only some minor storage wear.
