WW2 Lee Enfield No. 4 Mk. 1 Rifle by BSA-Shirley
Serial #MK404014, .303 British, 25" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some traces of freckling within the grooves. This is a 1943 dated, "M47" (BSA-Shirley) marked rifle that retains 70-75% of the wartime blued finish, with dull gray metal and plum-brown patina on the high edges, projections, and bearing surfaces of the non-matching, smooth cocking-piece bolt. An import stamp is present on the underside of the barrel, and a two-position combat rear sight is installed on the receiver. The wood is in good-very good shape with numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes throughout, as well as several large bruises around the wrist socket. A single, unmarked magazine is included, and the rifle rates very good-near fine overall. FFL or C&R
