WWI British P 1907 5th Leicestershire Regt Marked Wilkinson Bayonet
This is a unaltered British Pattern 1907 second model made by Wilkinson in 11/18 and remarked for duty in 1927. It is also marked "5.LEIC./314 for 5th Leicestershire. This bayonet most likely saw use in both World Wars. The blade is in very good to excellent unsharpened condition with light oxidation and nearly unmarred edge and correct tip. The crossguard shows signs of normal wear and light oxidation. The handle has a deep rich patina with proof marks on both sides. Lastly ending in a functional rifle lug pommel with unit markings and the correct oil cleaning hole. Comes with a correct scabbard in very good condition with canvas frog. 21 3/4 over-all.
