1901 Dated Krag Bayonet & Model 1899 Belt Attachment

This is a Krag bayonet stamped US on the obverse of the ricasso and dated 1897 on the reverse.  It measures 16 1/4 inches overall with an 11 5/8 inch fullered blade in excellent armory bright condition, very lightly sharpened with scattered use marks and scratches. The crossguard and pommel show light use and impact marks.  The wood grips rate about excellent with very light use marks.  It comes in a model 1899 scabbard with the wire belt attachment with limited rotation that is in excellent condition.   An overall near excellent example of an 1897 Krag bayonet.
