Alcan Basic 4 Gauge Aluminum Shotgun Shell Empty

This is a single empty 4 Gauge collector cartridge manufactured by Alcan.  The heavy aluminum shell is marked “ALCAN / BASIC / 4” and measures 2 7/8 inches in length and is just over an inch in diameter.  The empty hull appears unfired and is a massive shotgun shell that will dwarf others on display.
