WW1 US Model 1911 Pistol by Colt Brushed Blue 1918
Serial #254287, .45 ACP, 5" barrel with a good bore that has light freckling within the grooves. This is a 1918-made pistol in the "brushed blue" range that has 75-80% of the original blue remaining on the slide and frame. Silvering is present at the muzzle, along the edges, and projections, as well as some further gray fading on the frontstrap and flat mainspring housing. Dark original bluing remains on the trigger, slide latch, safety, hammer, and grips safety, while the "P / H" marked barrel has noticeable tool marks at the breech and gray fading along its length. The Colt double diamond wooden grips are in very good shape with some minor wear and flattening of the points on both panels. The pistol comes with a single unmarked two-tone magazine and is a very good-near fine example of a WW1 Colt pistol. FFL or C&R
