Colt US Model 1911 Pistol by Colt WW2 Era Rework
Serial #391171, .45 ACP. 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1918-made pistol that has 85-90% of an old, added Du-Lite blue finish on the frame and slide that has silvering and gray fading along the edges, projections, and bearing surfaces. The safety and slide lever retain most of their original WW1 era blue finish, while the hammer has slightly more gray fading and wear. The barrel is a WW2 era Springfield replacement with "HS-1" heat lot number on the lefts side of the breech, and the slide spring guide has an added plastic spacer fitted. The original Colt double diamond grips are in very good shape with some light-moderate flattening of the points on either side, heaviest at the butt on both panels. The pistol comes with a single Colt two-tone lanyard loop magazine, and is in very good-near fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
