Excellent Winchester Model 12 Shotgun Factory 2 Barrel Set w/ Custom Case

Serial #1872920, 12 Gauge (2 ¾” & 3” chambers) two barrel set, first is 30” barrel with a bright, excellent bore choked full marked “For Super Speed & Super-X”;  and the second is a 27 3/4” barrel choked about improved cylinder.  Both barrels are correctly numbered to the receiver.  This is a factory two barrel set Winchester Model 12 shotgun set manufactured in 1959 in a custom locking Mahogany case with Abercrombie & Fitch Company accoutrements.  Although unmarked the precision built case could well have been made by Abercrombie with precision craftsmanship and attention to very fine details of all aspects of its construction including very high quality brass furniture and hardware.  This awesome set remains in excellent plus condition having seen very little use.  The barrels and receiver retain about 96-98% of the original bright blue finish with some very small use and handling marks and assembly marks where the barrel meets the frame.  The walnut stock and forearms are likewise excellent with very minor finish level scratches and several small contusions retaining virtually all of the original varnish.    The LOP is 13 3/4” over a thick red rubber Winchester pad.  It comes in a custom Mahogany case with barrels and frame held precisely in place.  Also included is a wood cleaning rod with 3 attachments each held in place and two silver “A.F. & Co. New York” marked oil and solvent bottles and the original instruction manual.  The case is in excellent condition both inside and out having spent many decades as a “closet queen” with the only blemish a replacement brass handle loop on one side.  A scarce factory two barrel set in a beautiful case that would be the envy of any hunting camp or sporting clays / skeet range.  FFL or C&R
