G.A.R. Encampment Collection 12 Pcs Medals, Canteen, Belt Buckle
This is a collection of 12 pieces of original G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) Reunion and Encampment medals, ribbons, souvenirs and other uniform items. Included is a miniature canteen commemorating John Alexander Logan who was a Union General in the Civil War, originator of the Memorial Day holiday and ran as a Vice Presidential candidate in 1884. Also included are a brass belt buckle, hat pin and button from a G.A.R. Uniform. Medals include a Masonic cross, Harvey Trimble Delegate ribbon from the 1916 50th National Encampment; Massachusetts G.A.R. Medal dated 1892; Lewis W. Aldrich 46th Encampment in 1922; Albert D. Shaw Medal from Utica NY; 53rd National Encampment from Columbus, Ohio – Clarendon E. Adams; and a Souvenir 1904 G.A.R. Medal from Boston, Massachusetts. A fantastic assortment of G.A.R. Memorabilia.
