Book The Tallahassee Skipper

A privately published and long out of print book "The Tallahassee Skipper". This book was written by the now deceased author, Arthur Thurston of Yarmouth Nova Scotia. Unfortunately the book was written in the author's declining years and was not edited by anyone but the author. Despite the above, this work contains much information about John Taylor Wood, The Confederate navy, the Tallahassee as a Confederate raider and the post Civil War period. An interesting book with some great information. The story of the author Arthur Thurston alone is well worth telling. We were friends for many years.
