Fantastic Alfonso’s Holster and Gun Shop "Lone Ranger" Double Fast Draw Rig

This is a handsome Alfonso Fast Draw holster with carved black and tan double rig measures 41”x 3 1/4”, marked with 1583 39C 45 and is adorned with silver plated diamonds, studs and sterling silver buckle. The face of the rig is black leather with a floral and vine carved pattern and the backing is smooth tan leather with tight single stitch border. The billet strap is adorned with foliate pattern pressed silver plated tips that are toning to a dull pewter color and the scalloped edge buckle shows lovely floral and vine pattern engraving. The straight drop holsters share the same floral and vine carving and engraving on their buckle, edges, and leg straps. These holsters have heavy duty leather hammer thongs and will accommodate a Single Action Army or similar revolver with a barrel length of 7 1/2” and has 20 loops for 45 Colt. There is some light verdigris staining along the contact points between the decorative studs and leather with all remain securely in place on this excellent condition rig. This rig has many similarities to the one worn by The Lone Ranger which was made by Bohlin and interestingly both Alfonso and Bohlin worked with Arvo Ojala before making it out on their own. These three craftsmen filled Hollywood Western sets with holster rigs and saddles that are highly sought after not only for their movie notoriety but for the quality in which they were made.
