Joseph Rodgers & Sons Stag Scales Curved Hawkbill Pocket Knife

This is a Joseph Rodgers & Sons curved Hawkbill pattern pocket knife measuring 4 1/4” with a 3 1/8” carbon steel hawkbill blade having been lightly cleaned and carefully sharpened having a silvery patina with light staining and remnants of fine pitting. The obverse side of the blade is marked “JOSEPH ROGERS / & SONS” while the tang has No. 4 Norfolk Sheffield address and the reverse tang has familiar “*(Maltese Cross)” maker mark. The steel bolster, liners and buttcap have a matching finish and the curved staghorn scales have darkened nicely with age, each fastened by tiny iron pins.  It is very comfortable in hand and has great “snap” with only a slight horizontal wobble.
