Set of James Dixon & Sons Powder/Shot Flasks (3)

This is a grouping of James Dixon & Sons Flasks of Sheffield England they will all date from the first half of the 1800's. The first two came together and consist of plain top, plain, twist off charger in very good condition with functioning top and charger, very nice patina and only one dent on the completely intact seam. There is an inscription on the collar of "151 York St. New Haven Conn." This is in the middle of Yale University property and was most likely a single home at one time. This flask is 8.5" long by 3.5" wide. This was accompanied by an excellent condition unmarked but identified Dixon shot pouch with tight stitching, outstanding leather and functional charger. Item is about 7.5 inches long in total, leather pouch is 5.5 inches long by 3.25 inches wide at widest. The final item is another Dixon rare leather covered metal flask with a Patent top with broken spring and fused charger. The body of the flask is excellent with tight leather free of damage or tares and amazing fine stitching. The screw off top is in good condition with heavy patina and slight verdigris. Measures 8.5" long by 3.5" wide. All three examples can be found in the Powder Flask Book by Ray Riling
