Portuguese M1885 Sword Bayonet and Scabbard

This is an original Portuguese M1885 Sword Bayonet/Scabbard for the Guedes rifle and has not had the socket modified for use on the Kropatschek rifle. The unsharpened 18 3/8" Yataghan blade is in good+ condition with mottled surface and minimal pitting in the fuller. The blade is marked Order of Avis, Avis Cross (Cruz de Avis). There is no markings on the spine but these were built by Steyr. The guard is marked "KK104" and maintains the original socket ID of 5/8". The handle is tight and the pommel maintains the same finish. This bayonet shows plenty of use from years of service. The scabbard has almost no original bluing but is but nearly dent free and is marked OE over WG and 482.
