Rare WWI Colt 1911 .45 ACP Barnes & Kobert

This is a very good to excellent condition two tone, 1911 45 ACP pistol magazine from World War I. This magazine is a pined, half blued magazine with very little signs of wear and almost no surface oxidation. This is the Type 4C magazine as described in Joe Poyer's book "The Model 1911 and Model 1911A1 Military and Commercial Pistols". It is maker marked with a "B" on the toe lip, which stands for Barnes & Kobert Manufacturing Company, a very scarce maker. It is correct for military and commercial pistols with the following serial number ranges: military pistols with serial number range 125,567-629,500 and 700,000-735,000 and commercial pistols with serial number range C28,000-C139,999. This is a scarce magazine that can complete your early Colt pistol.
