Scarce Early Issue Union Metallic Cartridge Co. 1880's 22 Blank Ammo

This is a full box, 50 original rounds, of .22 Blank ammunition manufactured by UMC (Union Metallic Cartridge Co.) part of the early issues dating to the late 1880's.  In fine condition the box shows wear along the edges with a very slight crush along one side edge and some flaking. The blue ink graphics are near excellent and the cartridges are slightly age darkened but all present and appear native to the box.  Interestingly this box is not specifically listed but its most similar to the 100 round box that is identified as UMC-6 SB-3 in Roger Huegel's online .22 Rim Fire Box ID Reference based on the original Dunn classification system.  A very early UMC box that would display well with most of the classic pocket revolvers and derringers of the post-Civil War era.
