Scarce Hart's Pat. Reloadable Brass Shotgun Shells 10 & 12 GA Patent 1875
This is a lot of two Hart's patent reloadable brass shotgun shells with Nov. 9, 1875 patent dates. Included is a 10 gauge shell, well marked, with Name and Newark, NJ. The other is a 12 gauge shell with the markings not totally visible but clearly a Hart's patent shell. The unique shells were made for a short time in the post Civil War era during the transition to standard center fire shells. These examples remain in very fine condition.
