Scarce Remington Model 12CS Slide Action 22 Rem Special (22 WRF)

Serial #778545, .22 Rem Special (.22 WRF), 24 inch octagon barrel with a bright, excellent bore.  This is the Remington Model 12 CS pump action rifle manufactured in 1929.  In excellent overall condition the barrel retains about 90-95% of the original blue with silvering on the high edges and finish loss on the action areas with scattered freckling.  The mag tube is toning mostly gray with good blue in the protected areas and the receiver retains about 80-85% thinning blue with wear on the high edges and carry points along the bottom, and scattered tiny freckles.   The stock and forearm are solid showing some mild use marks and crazing of the varnish at the wrist.  It is sighted with the  screw adjusted rear sight and bead front.  An excellent example of the more scarce Remington Special version of the famous Model 12.  FFL or C&R
