Swiss M1855/6 Jager Rifle Socket Bayonet
This is a Swiss M1855/6 Jager Rifle Socket Bayonet. This example is in excellent original condition with a nearly 20 1/2" blade, marked "PJ" on the ricasso, "177" on the elbow and "W" on the locking ring. The bayonet is bright with the lightest oxidation on the top side of the socket. The appropriate diameter is .715" diameter, front of the socket and 2.63" socket length.
