US Military Model 1912 1st Cavalry NY Marked Holster R.I.A Colt 1911

This is a US military Model 1912 holster for the Colt 1911 .45, manufactured by Rock Island Arsenal, 1914 date, inspected by T.C.C.. This holster is in very good original condition with tight stitching and supple leather. Excellent hardware with light verdigris, this is also stamped, "A.L" on the back near the swivel, "1 CAV NY" on the front above the flap and "1 CAV N.Y.I. 41" on the inside flap. The "41" could have been a date but the 1st Cavalry unit was renamed the 101st Cavalry Regiment in 1922. This has a leg strap with it but it is newer than the holster.
