WWI US Model 1905E1 M1 Garand Bayonet S.A. 1912

This is a shortened M1905 bayonet that was re-designated as 1905E1, the Bayonet M1. This example was originally made as a M1905 bayonet at Springfield Armory in 1912. It was modified and shortened by the Utica Cutlery Co. These bayonets are found with both a spear point or a beak point. The 10" blade blade is in excellence condition, marked S. A. flaming bomb 1912. The reverse has U.S./518088/U.C.-MOD. The guard, handle and pommel are in near excellence condition. This comes with a correct shortened M3 scabbard in very good condition.
