US Model 1892 Krag Bayonet Dated 1900

This is a 1900 dated bayonet that measures 16 1/4” overall with an 11 5/8” single-edged blade having stopped fullers. The steel has a mostly bright gray, original patina with some very light cleaning marks on the “US” and “1900” marked ricasso, and dark protective grease at the tip. The crossguard and pommel have areas of plum-brown freckling in the otherwise gray metal, and the walnut grip panels are in fine shape with only a handful of minor surface marks and blemishes, and the third type metal scabbard has about 85-90% of the original blue remaining, and the balance turned mild gray.
