Unmodified Pre-WWI French Lebel Model 1886 Bayonet & Scabbard Hooked Quillion

This is a French Lebel M1886 Bayonet with Scabbard and frog.  In original configuration it measures 25 1/8 inches overall with a 20 ½ inch cruciform blade with hooked quillion.  The blade shows wear and impact marks along the edges but remains armory bright with the cross guard mostly a plum brown and is marked “No. 32814” with “R” and “P” both in circles.  The nickel handle and pommel shows light wear.  It come in a steel scabbard with leather frog with good stitching and supple but has tear on the connecting back of the belt loop.  A very fine example of these neat bayonets.
