WW2 British RAF Enfield No. 2 Mk. I* Revolver (Royal Air Force Marked)
Serial #M3412, .38/200 British (.38 S&W), 5” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1941 dated, Enfield marked revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, and cylinder. The metal retains 90-95% of the original matte blue finish with thin freckling spread throughout, and some trace silvering along the high and exposed edges. The right side of the frame has a wartime “RAF” Royal Air Force stamp, while postwar Birmingham commercial proofs are also present. The grooved walnut grips are in good-very good shape with numerous small handling marks and blemishes throughout, and a correct, khaki lanyard cord is included. The side plate may have been replaced at some point. This is a fine-near excellent example of a war-dated Enfield, with highly desirable RAF markings. FFL or C&R
