WWI AEF Remington Model 1917 Bayonet + Scabbard

This is a WWI M1917 bayonet manufactured by Remington housed in a M1917 leather and steel scabbard.  In near excellent condition the 21 ½ inch OAL bayonet has a 17 inch very lightly sharpened fullered blade that retains much of the original blue finish with some very light nicks on the edge.  Is is marked with flaming bomb, Inspector Eagle 21 and cross sword marks over “US” on the reverse and “1917” / Remington in circle on the obverse.  The crossguard and pommel show about 75-80% of the original blue finish.  The wood grips are near excellent with light use mark, contusions and a small chip missing on the left panel.  It comes in a M1917 leather and steel throated and tipped scabbard which is solid and in very good condition.  A very nice example of the M1917 bayonet.
