Forehand Arms Single Barrel Break Open 12 GA Ejector Shotgun C&R

Serial #50067, 12 GA (2 ?? inch chamber), 30 inch "Fine Decarbonized Steel" barrel with a very fine frosted bore with some roughness. This is a break open, single barrel, external hammer shotgun with shell ejector manufactured by Forehand Arms. The receiver is marked "FOREHAND ARMS CO. / WORCESTER, MASS. / PATENTED FEBY 4 1896." The classic single shot is in near excellent overall condition with the barrel retaining much, 90-95%, of the original blue finish with some light scratches and use marks and the frame shows case color in the protected areas with the balance faded to a plum brown / pewter gray. The walnut stock and forearm rate about excellent and are solid with some old contusions. It's choked cylinder bore and functions well mechanically with a tight lock up and barrel on face. The original hard rubber "squirrel" butt plate rates about excellent. A very nice example of a classic single barrel not often found in such high condition. FFL or C&R
