Rare Prussian Charles Daly Lindner 10 Gauge SxS Fluid Steel Barrel

Serial #1935, 10 GA (2 7/8" chambers), 29 7/8 inch Krupp fluid steel barrels that have been slightly shortened, with bright, excellent bores showing slight roughness on the left tube at the muzzle rim. This is a Prussian Charles Daly side-by-side shotgun manufactured by Charles Lindner circa 1910. The extremely well built Superior Grade ejector gun with cocking indicators features an Anson & Deeley top lever action with figured walnut and accent engraving. With total production of the Prussian guns estimated at under 4000 this one falls into the second run of serial numbers having the later Lindner crossed pistols below "HAL" proof mark. In near excellent condition the barrels retain most, 90-95% of a professional reblue with some scattered light use marks marked "Krupps Fluid Steel" on the rib, rare for the Prussian models as most were Damascus. The foliate engraved receiver, having about 75-80% coverage, is mostly in the white with perhaps 10-15% of the original case color in the protected areas with excellent crisp detail throughout. The figured walnut stock and forearm are in very good plus condition with the stock solid, showing much of the original, worn fine checkering, darkened with age having some old use marks and contusions. The forend has the same fine checkering, horn tip and beautiful wood grain pattern with some chipping along the wood edges. The barrels are slightly off face but the action locks up tight with the lever resting just left of center. The action has a scalloped back, clipped fences, & raised panels and is equipped with ejectors and cocking indicators. The gun weighs in at 9lbs 7oz with 13" LOP and drops of 1" at the comb and 2" at the heel. A beautiful Lindner made Prussian Charles Daly with rare Krupp steel barrels that will be a pleasure to shoot and the envy of many. FFL or C&R
