U.S.A.A.F. A-10 Bubble Sextant

Serial #AF42-3238. This is a bubble sextant assembly, manufactured by Fairchild Aviation Corp., which has retained 97% plus of the original black "crinkled" finish and has clouded but still somewhat serviceable prisms and optics. There is a screw missing from the top plate and some minor surface oxidation along a few of the edges and borders. Additionally, the rubber eye-cup is slightly misshapen with cracking and flaking along the edge. This is a neat piece of World War II militaria and would make a neat addition to a collection.
