WW2 British No. 4 Mk. I Rifle by BSA
Serial #AF7228 / MK412794, .303 British, 25" barrel with a very good bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This is an "M/47" coded rifle (BSA ?Çô Shirley) that has a 1943 date, and retains 30-40% of the original blue finish with the balance either faded to gray, or freckled plum-brown. The matching numbered bolt has a bright gray body, and some minor brown freckling on the handle as well. A large import stamp is present on the left side of the receiver, and the stock and handguard wood are in very good shape with only some minor handling marks in the added oil finish. The rifle is equipped with a two-position rear battle sight, and comes with a single unmarked magazine. This is a very nice WW2 dated No. 4, and rates very good-near fine overall. FFL or C&R
