Civil War Era Starr Model 1858 DA Army Revolver
Serial #7505, .44 Caliber, 6" barrel with a good bore that has dark freckling within the grooves, and some mild pinprick pitting along its length. This is an attractive revolver that has matching numbers, with an overall smooth plum-brown patina throughout. Some traces of the original blue remain on protected areas, with some further streaks of pewter gray, mostly along the barrel, topstrap, and loading lever. The one-piece walnut grip does not have US inspector marks, and has numerous small handling marks and blemishes in the original oil finish. The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional. This is a very nice revolver that has a great antique look, and would make a great piece for display. Antique
