Civil War Carbine Hanger Clip Emerson Gaylord Chicopee, Mass
This is an original carbine hanger clip manufactured by Emerson Gaylord, a military supply manufacturer, in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Missing the leather shoulder strap the named carbon steel clip is marked "T.J. Shepard" and "E. G (Gaylord) / Chicopee / Mass" and measures 2 3/4" wide and 6 1/2" long. The fully functional clip is in excellent condition.
