1902 Dated Krag Bayonet & Model 1899 Belt Attachment

This is a Krag bayonet stamped US on the obverse of the ricasso and dated 1902 on the reverse.   It measures 16 1/4 inches overall with an 11 5/8 inch fullered blade in fine condition,  with carbon staining, scattered use marks and scratches. The crossguard and pommel show light use and impact marks.  The wood grips rate about excellent with light use marks and several old chips and contusions.  It comes in a model 1899 scabbard with the wire belt attachment with limited rotation that is in excellent condition.   The scabbard shows much of the original blue finish with one tiny dent mid front, scattered scratches and light use marks.   An overall very fine example of an 1902 Krag bayonet.
