British M1853 Standard Pattern Bayonet with Locking Ring
This is a British Model 1853 Standard Pattern Bayonet with Locking Ring for the Snider, Endfeild rifles. This one was built at the Deaken & Son Factory Birmingham, and the 17 ¼” blade is in very good condition with light oxidation and age soiling. The ricasso is marked with B 53 and DEAKIN. The elbow and socket retain brown finish, light surface oxidation. There are signs of use but over-all in very good condition.
