British 18-pounder Gun Solid Projectile 2.95"
This is a British 18-pounder gun cast iron, solid projectile. This projectile was used in the back bone gun, the British 18 pounder, in two Word Wars. This 12"x 2.95" solid cast iron projectile weighs exactly 18 lbs. It is in excellent unfired condition with the hint of a green paint line and the number 1 on both sided. It is marked "Lot ll 1908, H Cowdrey MCH WPS, G.E.C INSP, 2.95 Solid Shot, Cast Iron, 18 LBS" Makes a massive display and excellent addition to any collection.
