British Pattern 1860 Sword Bayonet Yataghan With Scabbard

This is a fine example of the Pattern 1860 Sword Bayonet with the Yataghan blade. For use with the British Pattern 1860 Volunteer Short Rifle. This 22.75 inch unsharpened, excellent condition blade has light freckling and almost no nicks down the edge and was made in Solingen Germany by the famous blade maker Weyersbery. It is marked with the King’s head makers mark and British proofs with Crown over C. The leather grips are in fine condition with wear but no chips or cracks. The spring is fully functional and is held with a screw and the muzzle ring is flush with the spine of the blade. The excellent pommel is marked 41. The leather and steel, correct scabbard is in excellent original condition with tight stitching, signs of use with oxidation on the metal parts, is marked 6 over 267.
