Dutch 1st Pattern 1871 Beaumont Rifle Socket Bayonet

This Dutch 1st Pattern 1871 Beaumont Rifle Socket Bayonet is a unique collectible for any bayonet enthusiast. The bayonet was manufactured in the Netherlands by "Delft" (Crown over D) and is an original piece from the Indian Wars (1866-97) era. The 22 14/16" cruciform blade is in very good condition with no chips, a nice tip and and most of the original finish. The elbow is marked Crown over D and crown L with the socket marked B 145. The locking ring is also marked but I can not make it out as well as the bore "F". Over-all this is a fine example of a Dutch 1st Pattern 1871 Beaumont Rifle Socket Bayonet.
