Eddystone US Model 1917 Enfield Rifle Refurbished for WW2
Serial #1132478, .30-06, 26" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a great looking rifle that has a 9-18 dated, "E" marked barrel and all Eddystone-marked parts. The metal has retained 85-90% of an armory-applied brushed blue finish, with some silvering at the muzzle, further gray fading along the raised edges and projections, as well as further silvering and fading along the bearing surfaces of the bolt. The markings are crisp and clear, and the "E" marked stock and handguard are likewise in fine condition, with minor handling marks and surface blemishes scattered about the added varnish finish. The left side of the stock has an "RA-P" (Raritan Arsenal) rebuild cartouche just ahead of the wrist. Additionally, the rifle is fitted with an unmarked 1907 type leather sling that is in excellent, little-used condition. This is a splendid example of a Model 1917 Enfield, rebuilt for WW2, and is in fine overall condition. FFL or C&R
