Indian Wars 50-70 Bar Anvil Primed Cartridge Frankford Arsenal
This is a single collector cartridge of .50-70 ammunition manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal for a very shot time in the late 1860's with bar anvil priming with the primer crimp located just above the rim of the cartridge case as opposed to the more common Benet crimps that were higher up. This primer struck example is in excellent condition and represents an important link in the evolution of internally primed cartridges.
