Interesting Rotary Shot Spreader “Hummer” 10 Gauge Partial Box

This is a partial box, 25 count, of “Hummer” shot spreaders for 10 gauge shotgun shells manufactured by Daniel Brown in Thornton, RI.  Dating to 1902 this innovative system was developed to enable sportsmen to shoot at close range with full choke shotguns.  The box has the original intact red and black label with some very minor edge and corner wear.  The spreaders remain in excellent condition.  A very interesting and innovative turn of the century sporting device.
