Schrade-Walden N.Y. U.S.A. Pilot Survival Knife 1553-57
This is an original "Pilot Survival Knife". U.S. military issue from 1953-1957. Designated "MIL-k-8662(AER)," The 5 1/8" blade has light specked surface with one tiny ding midway on the edge, nice tip and what appears to be a factory edge. The guard and pommel show light oxidation. The leather grip is in very good condition with excellent Bakelite red spacers. No sheath.
