M1 Carbine Type 3 Recoil Plate and Screw Marked for I.B.M. Production

This is an original USGI World War II Type III recoil plate and screw. This was manufactured for the I.B.M. wartime production of the M1 Carbine and has the appropriate “PR-B” marking. The part is in very good condition with much of the finish remaining on the exposed surfaces with some visible scuffs and marks from use. The interior surfaces that will not be visible when installed on your gun have loss of finish and some minor corrosion. The screw is the early wartime production version with a half inch of threading as opposed to the late production version that had threading along the entire length.
