Beautiful Original US Model 1903 DCM Rifle by Springfield (NRA Marked)

Serial #624198, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore.  This is a splendid "Style S" or standard service rifle variant that has a 4-16 dated "SA" marked barrel and retains 97-98% of the original blue finish on the metal.  Some silvering is present on the muzzle and other projecting edges, as well as on the bearing surfaces and handle of the bolt, but these are very minor.  The cut-off and safety have excellent original color case-hardening remaining, as well as a crisp, post-1915 "(Ordnance Bomb) / N.R.A." stamp on the trigger guard just ahead of the floorplate.  The walnut single cross-bolt stock and handguard are in excellent condition with only some very minor handling marks marring the original oil finish.  A crisp "J.S.A." (Joseph S. Adams) cartouche is present on the left side of the wrist.  These handsome rifles were sold to Army and Navy officers, as well as members of the NRA.  They were apparently selected for superior fit and finish, and this example certainly fits that description.  It is a fantastic example of a highly desirable Model 1903 variant, and is in excellent condition overall.  FFL or C&R
