Post WW2 USMC Fighting Knife by Ka-Bar
This is a 1970s reissue of the legendary USMC fighting knife by Ka-Bar and measures 12" overall. With a 7" clip-point blade having a 3 1/4" false edge, and single fullers. The blade has about 50-60% of the original gray parkerized finish remaining with deeply struck "KA-BAR / OLEAN NY" maker mark on the ricasso obverse, "USMC" on the reverse, and old sharpening marks present along the edge. Some further spots of plum-brown freckling are present near the tip on either side. The steel guard has traces of the original black finish remaining, while the leather washer grip has black plastic spacers at the guard and pommel, and worn, but intact leather with some large scuffs as well. The 3/8" pommel disk has a square tang, with blind pin fastener. This is a great looking Ka-Bar, and is in good-very good condition overall.
