Scarce D.C. Sage Civil War 36 Caliber Navy Revolver Percussion Ammo Packet

This is a full packet, “Six Seamless Skin” cartridges, of .36 Caliber ammo “FOR NAVY PISTOL” manufactured by D.C. Sage in Middletown, Connecticut who was in business from 1861-1866 using the Julius Hotchkiss (a principal in the business), No. 34,367 patent from February 11, 1862 for “Improvement in Skin Cartridges”.  The paper wrapped wood ammo packet is full and partially sealed with and includes the six skin cartridges and percussion caps.  It has about 95% of the outer wrapper remaining with very good graphics on the front with an opening along the top allowing a look inside at the bullet tips of several rounds  A great looking Civil War percussion packet that would display well with a Colt Navy or other .36 caliber revolver.
