U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Socket Bayonet
This is a Socket bayonet for use on the .45–70 Caliber U.S. Rifle M1873 (Trapdoor Springfield). The bayonet retains most of the original blueing with some surface oxidation and is clearly marked on the ricasso "US". This is a very good condition original bayonet without scabbard.
