US Krag-Jorgenson M1892 W/Scabbard 1899

This is a US Krag-Jorgenson M1892 with Scabbard. The blade is stamped US on the obverse of the ricasso and dated 1899 on the reverse. This blade measures 11 1/4" and 16 5/8" for overall length. The unsharpened bright blade is in excellent condition with unmarked edge and tip, scattered dried oil, deep excellent makers marks and on both sides. The cross guard and pommel remain bright with light carbon staining.  The wood grips rate excellent with some light use marks.  It comes in an original second model steel scabbard that retains almost all of the original finish with scattered light freckling.  A very fine Krag bayonet that will look great on your rifle.
