US M1 Garand Rifle with Winchester Receiver 1942 w/ 1945 Dated SA Barrel
Serial #1271228, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The receiver of this rifle was made in December of 1942, and is mated to a 1945 dated SA barrel. The rifle is further outfitted with an SA bolt, SA unmodified op-rod, SA trigger group housing, SA safety, SA locking bar rear sight, and a WRA hammer. The metal retains 95-97% of the armory applied parkerized finish, with some silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges and projections, as well as on the bearing surfaces of the bolt and in the op-rod raceway. The walnut stock and handguards have small handling marks and minor surface blemishes scattered throughout, with a crisp "SA / T" Springfield Armory post-WW2 rebuild cartouche on the left side of the buttstock. The rifle is equipped with a post-war Model 1907 style, brown leather target sling that has some minor crazing on the flex points, but is otherwise intact and fully serviceable. This is a very nice example of an M1 Garand, originally made in WW2, and is in fine-near excellent overall. FFL or C&R
