US Model 1903-A3 Rifle by Remington with Four-Groove Barrel (Ogden Rework)
Serial #3556660, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an early Remington-made rifle that has a 3-43 dated, "RA" four-groove barrel and retains 95-97% of the arsenal-applied parkerized finish on the metal, with some silvering and fading at the muzzle, as well as along some of the high edges and projections. The bolt has mild fading along the bearing surfaces, and a tiny amount of freckling present on the handle. The walnut stock has been arsenal reconditioned to near excellent condition with a partially visible "FJA" cartouche on the left side of the wrist, and an "OG" Ogden Arsenal stamp on the left side of the buttstock. There are some minor handling marks scattered about the military oil finish. This is a desirable, four-groove Remington ‘03-A3, in fine-near excellent condition, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
