Original WWII USMC Marked Boyt 1944 Leather Shoulder Holster 1911
This is an original USGI issued M7 shoulder holster for the 1911 pistol. It is marked “USMC / Boyt / 44” on the back and was issued to the Marine Corps. This is a first year marked, 1944, of adoption for the M7 holster which allowed for easier carry than the M3 however the second strap which makes this adjustable is missing. The natural plain leather color is visible on the back of the holster with the front and strap now black as a result of oils and field staining. In near excellent condition this example is nicely marked with the “U.S.” embossing on the front. A well preserved example of a scarce original WWII issued USMC holster.
