WW2 German P.08 Luger Pistol by Mauser with Holster
Serial #9156u, 9mm Para., 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an "S/42" coded pistol that has a 1938-dated chamber, and recent import stamp on the underside of the barrel. The pistol has mostly matching numbers, although the sideplate, toggle pin, trigger, sear, and toggle latch had their original numbers peened out and obscured (the numbers "56" were scratched into the sideplate, however). The metal retains 98-99% of an overall excellent added blue finish that has only some very minor spots of silvering on a few of the high points and bearing surfaces. The checkered wooden grips are in very good shape with light wear and flattening of the points on both panels, most noticeably at the butt. The pistol is housed in an original 1941-dated hard-side P.08 holster with Waffenamt proof between the belt loops (the manufacturer code is not legible). The leather is lightly scuffed in places, but is otherwise in very good shape with some minor flaking along the edges of the cover flap. The pistol is further accompanied by: two aluminum base magazines (one with Waffenamt proof) and an eagle proofed takedown tool. This is a very good WW2 Luger overall, with a nice war dated holster.
